Sangeetha Narasimhan
Hello! My name is Sangeetha Narasimhan, also known as Mom to my darling boys ages 7 and 5. As part of my role at AOL, I am responsible for Marketing for AOL Parental Controls and for propagating the online safety message. I am also part of the leadership team for the Parents Group at AOL, which enables me to be involved in a supportive work environment including setting up policies, practices and programs for AOL’s working parents so that they can meet business priorities and still be fully engaged as parents in their communities.
Before coming to Virginia and AOL, we lived in Boise, Idaho for 10 years during which time I was in Marketing at Hewlett-Packard’s LaserJet Supplies division. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from India and an MBA from BSU (blue turf! Go Broncos!). My job at AOL, while tugging at the mom chord in me, is extremely rewarding as I get to educate, inform, and alert parents, friends, and family (actually pretty much anyone that I talk to) about a topic that I am extremely passionate about – Internet Safety for Kids!
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, love to experiment with different cuisines; engage in volunteering at the Dominion Women’s Club and as a family we love to travel. Almost forgot to mention my love for dogs! My boys have wanted to get a dog for a while now and we finally got a new puppy - a Goldendoodle - which is keeping us all busy and entertained!
