Karen Diro

Karen is a (fairly) new mom who has worked on the product development side of online safety for the last four years. She currently heads up the AOL Parental Controls product team, designing new software and web tools that make the internet a safer place for families. Karen holds a BA in Government from Harvard University.
 
Outside of working and blogging, Karen rides the ups and downs inherent in early parenthood. When she finds those rare quiet moments, she enjoys reading historical fiction, playing the piano (or trying to), and subjecting her husband to experimental new recipes at dinner time.
