Diana Pentecost
Diana joined AOL right out of Law school back in 1995. In the beginning she was a producer of all trades moving around from various projects and products. One of those early assignments was working on AOL's Parental Controls, when "filters" and "spam" were not yet part of our every day language. Once she got started on researching and developing ways to keep kids safe online Diana was hooked. She knew that this is where she wanted to stay. And although since then she has moved on from the Parental Controls product itself she has always stayed involved in kids & teens online privacy and safety issues.
Today as a child safety advocate, Diana has worked regularly with child protection and Internet Safety organizations such as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, iSafe.org, and Connect Safely.org to ensure that information continues to be exchanged so that all sides stay current on developments and issues in the area of children online. As a lawyer she also specializes in the Child Privacy Laws to ensure that whatever products or content that AOL develops targeted toward children is compliant with all Federal Regulations.
Now with two small boys of her own to raise and with already a decade of online safety under her belt, being part of Safetyclicks was the next logical step. Diana sees no end to her involvement in this space and hopes that contributions here will grow to be an ongoing resource for parents.
